Top-Up Courses

 

Student has to fulfil (I) and (II) as follows:

 

(I)     Obtain 90 credit-units, of which at least 24 credit-units must be at 3000-level and at least 24 credit-units must be at 4000-level, from the following:

 

(a)    12 credit-units of a core course labelled CC.

 

(b)    12 credit-units of 1000-level core courses labelled FC.

 

(c)    24 credit-units of major concentration courses labelled CN.

 

(d)    12 credit-units of elective courses in specific area labelled ECS.

 

(e)    21 credit-units of elective courses labelled CN, ECS and EC.

 

(f)     9 credit-units of University Core courses labelled UCC.

 

(II)   Student must attain the CGPA for graduation as prescribed in the Regulations for the award of undergraduate degrees.

Notes:

(1)    Courses with the same course codes but are taught in different languages (e.g. SOSC 1021AED & SOSC 1021ACD) form an excluded combination with each other. Only one of these courses can be counted towards fulfilling the programme requirement for graduation.

 

(2)    Of the top-up courses required for the attainment of the degree, students can complete no more than 40 credit-units of courses in a language of instruction other than English.
